Most people, maybe 90%, have been exposed to HPV in their lifetime. Being exposed to HPV does not mean you will get cancer, only a very small minority will for unknown, contributory reasons. It could be anything like suggested, tooth rubbing, abscess, infection, and the brush biopsy will be helpful in determining cancer or not, but not the best type of biopsy to do, like incisional or punch, but it's pretty accurate. Try to stay away from Dr. Google, and let the real doctor handle this, who is best qualified in diagnose or post a question here to clarify any questions. Good luck with the results.
