hello everybody first i would like to say hope everybody is doing good... i am scared to death about 4 days ago as i was eating i felt something on the back of my mouth.. i put my finger inside my mouth and there was a small bump, its located on the left side by my wisdom tooth on the side by the cheek area "NOT ON THE GUM" immediatly i went on the internet and the first thing i saw was ORAL CANCER i started crying!! i have never smoked and i rarely drink but i also saw that it can be caused by HPV, so the next day i went to my dentist and right away she said it was not cancer not to worry about it, she said it might be my top tooth that is rubbing against the skin she reccomended to see an oral surgent, the next day i went with the oral surgent and he did an x-ray and said the same thing my dentist said my thooth was rubbing up againt my skin,but he did say that my left side was swollen wich then really concerned me.. but what made me really worried was when i asked him about possibly being HPV related he seemed to have no clue what i was talking about and told me that HPV was herpes 0_ o ,so after i left his office i immediatly called my ENT doctor and i went to see him the next day, he looked at it and he said that he doubts its cancer but he did do a biopsy with a brush to be sure and he seem to know a little more about HPV, "not that im saying i have HPV but you never know" so now i have to wait another week for the results smh.. i am so scared i have not been able to eat,sleep, im loosing weight, my ear feels funny please help!!
