At this time there have not been any studies done that I am aware of which have linked trauma to SCC. We have seen many patients come thru here who have had their tumors begin where the denture rubs them inside their mouth. When you bit your tongue that is what caused the LCP (sorry I didnt understand what it was before, dun!). The LCP turned into SCC, but the original cause really was when you bit your tongue.

You are very fortunate! You didnt let your nervousness get in the way of seeing the doctor. You stayed on top of it which not all patients do. You are very lucky not to need further treatment.
