My Medical Oncologist has scheduled my first post-radiation CT scan for 9 weeks after treatment. I read on another post that someone got his 4 weeks after treatment.

It's my understanding that, in general, CT scans should be limited as too many cause their own problems. If so, this would seem early for a scan. My ENT visually inspected the site three weeks ago and said that everything looked great so why the scan now?

How soon after treatment have others had their CT scans?
