I have my first PET scan next week and the doctor said if it comes back clear(i said when !) then they will talk about reconstruction. Has anyone here had reconstruction after treatment for maxillectomy? I was thinking i would like my nose and mouth to look more like they did before but the obturator isnt too bad. I also think its easier for them tolook into the cavity for check ups with the obturator.
I guess i just wanted to see if anyone had had this and if it had worked!
Im getting used to things now and am also unsure if i want to go through anymore!
