Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 49 | I am just very scared about my dad's reocurrence. I don't know what is going to happen now. His tumor is at the base of his tongue, he will need surgery to have it removed, after that he will need radiation. The surgery was scheduled for 06/08 but we received a call from the doctor's office saying it had to be postponed to 06/15. In the meantime I can't do anything but worry and be scared. This is a nightmare.

Squamous Cell Carcinoma,Stage 2, Right side of Tongue
Dx 7/19/10
Partial glossectomy and neck dissection 8/18/10
Reocurrence: 04/2011 Base/back of Tongue right side
Surgery: Partial glossectomy, flap 06/15/2011
Rad and Chemo finished on Sept/ Oct 2011
Recovery and assimilation. Enjoying life
