Hello. The good news is I am an oral cancer - scc survivor!
Question - has anyone tried registering as a bone marrow donor post oral cancer?
Regarding medical eligibility post cancer the national bone marrow registry site states that "cured local skin cancer" survivors are eligible, if it is basal cell, squamous or insitu- melanoma.
So is ORAL squamous cell (scc) considered medically the same as regular skin cancer?
thanks!
michelle (and yes, I have also asked this question at www.marrow.org)
