I had Bell's Palsy on the left side of my face 9 years ago. That is an inflammation of the 7th Cranial Nerve from compression within the Fallopian Canal which is behind your ear. It causes paralysis of one side of the face. As that nerve gradually came back on line I had itching in my ear and pain along the jaw among other things. Nerves are interesting beasties but where would we be without them?
