Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I went to a well known CCC and was ready for the 3rd surgery in 6 months when I finally went to the 1st Dr that diagnosed me with OC. He is at a CCC but not that well know natioally, but this Dr has been wanted by the bigger better known CCC'S but won't leave this area or the Hospital he is at. Boy are we glad he can say no. The well known one , I think was using me for a guinea pig because of my age. but he is good as is is team. Go for it as David says.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
