Finally got my prescription for silver nitrate sticks. They look cool. They come in a pack of 100 (ten cardboard envelopes with ten sticks each) and with insurance cost only five dollars (the uninsured price is listed as $45). I will try them out late tonight. It will certainly be much easier than making an appointment, driving to the hospital and waiting only to have the doctor touch the exact same wooden stick with a silver nitrate tip against the tissue.
The prescription was generic for "silver nitrate applicator" and the brand dispensed was "Arzol - for simplified Nitrate therapy". The insert says the combo of silver nitrate (75%) with potassium nitrate (25%) is caused "lunar caustic"
