Hello everyone, I have been dealing with SCC since 2000. Currently I have had 3 surgeries and almost monthly lasering of removal of leukoplakia on my tongue. I do not "qualify" for treatment. I have had a 2nd opinion but am not satisified with just waiting around. He suggests I look into a "trial" treatment? Is anyone else having to deal with the leukoplakia removal and/or NOT receiving treatment?

Am I to remain complacent with this?

I have 4 children, one grandson and the man of my dreams! I will not loose out on their lives!!!

1st diagnosis 1997 SCC; surgically removed; no treatment; continual removal of leukoplakia; 2nd diagnosis 2009 SCC stage 1; more intense/surgically removed; no treatment; 12/2010: had Alloderm treatment (skin graft) done on over 1/2 my tongue; Still dealing with scar tissue.
