I am inexplicably losing potassium, and all my doctors are at a loss for why this is. It occured to me that it could possibly be a late side effect of Cisplatin, which of course I will bring up with my doctor next time I see her.

I've check all my blood work, and my Potassium was within the limite, until the end of my 3rd cycle of chemo. It was 3.4 which is just a tiny bit low. I won't have a new blood test for a couple more weeks, but that is my experience with Cisplatin.

I am two years out from my last Cisplatin, so I don't think that my docs are even considering Cisplatin toxicity, not sure my endocrinologist even knows I received it. No one has answers on this, but I don't think any of them considered cisplatin. I become symptomatic when my potassium is low, so I'd like to get it figured out. I am taking a prescription potassium supplement twice a day, yet still sub-normal.
