I just read the posts here and can sympathize with all of you. I have no experience in this area and don't need it. I just like to read the older post up until the present. It makes one wonder where all the strength and energy come from we fight with daily.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

HI, Big Brother. Your strength comes from the Lord. It's Him that helps you through it all. Keep focused on Him, and He'll carry you through. I love you, Carol

Just over 24 hours since operation yesterday afternoon and doing really well.
Had 6 pain killers (over a few hours) before going bed and slept to 5.30 which is great.
Feeling well today and will only take a few today between sleeping, emailing, TV knitting, reading, sipping on liquid etc. etc.
GP (General Practitioner) tomorrow and plastic surgeon next Friday when I get the stiches out.
I am surprised that there appear to be so few stitches this time.
Other than saying "shut up cookey" to my feathered friend I suspect my ssssssssss's will be a bit more lispy because of the extra cut away.
At the moment I am happy to have the mass out and will now wait to see how it is with time and see what the pathology has to say this time.
Thanks for the words of encouragement and at this stage it is looking good.
Maybe I will post the before and after photos on Facebook.
Cheers
Gabriele
