For a couple of days it kind of felt like a slightly pulled muscle but it really wasn't bad at all and I hardly noticed it. Having it pulled took like 2 seconds and didn't hurt at all. The hole had closed up by the next morning and now I'm just waiting for it to warm up a little bit so I can go swimming!
Stephanie, 23, SCC on the right side of my tongue, surgery on 5-19-08, over half my tongue removed, free flap constructed from my forearm, bilateral neck dissection, one positive node. Radiation (32) and chemo (carboplatin) started on 6-16-08. Recurrence 4/09 in lungs.

That hurt like crazy. So, with that said, make them pull it out by hand... LOL
Dx Mar 07 with Base Of Tongue Stage IV. IMRT 35x with 3 doses Cysplatin ran concurrent. Tx ended May 31,07. Left and right node involved. Radical neck disection 7/18/07
