Hi, I have a couple of questions about the time between surgery and the start of treatment. I undersatnd that there is typically better results if they start treatment within 6 weeks of surgery and/or have treatment finished within 100 days. Can't remember where I saw this but was wondering a couple of things. I can understand that you want to treat as quickly as possible but was curious if the act of the surgery had any effect on how quickly "other" cancel cells became active or growing? My wife has had several new sores in her mouth, on the free flap and lips that we have attributed to bites while she sleeps or from the breathing tube being put in during her PEG/port surgery. Has this been typical of others? Thanks.
