Relevant comments about it can be seen on the first blog post on this site http://www.oral-cancer.info

And even if you did, it is clear that while this is one method of transfer of the virus it is likely not the only one. Studies are ongoing to look at things like just intimate kissing. Oral sex, for lack of a better term, was the low hanging fruit and an obvious means in the early articles. We are going to find that the virus can be transferred by other means in the next year. As we have said here before, getting the virus does not mean for sure you will get a cancer, it does not mean that your immune system will not just deal with it, and so much more. What we do not know about all this far exceeds what we do know at this point in time. I have articles which I cannot share because they are embargoed for publication in the next few months, that elucidate this somewhat better, but we are still a long way from knowing everything that we need to. Sexual behavior in not only the US, but the world, has been changing particularly since the free love days of the 60's. We are seeing sociological changes, and spin off events from them. Oral cancers and this virus are just one of many.

I jumped on the HPV bandwagon as soon as I found out that I tested positive for HPV 16. But the more I read and the more I talk to people like Brian and my RO, etc, the more I realize how complicated this subject is. I was also told over a year ago by the Director of Pinellas County Infectious Disease that HPV can be transmitted by mouth to mouth kissing and it is highly contagious. But as Brian says, just like tobacco, alcohol and betel nuts, not everyone who is exposed gets OC. Lets hope they can discover the many mysteries surrounding this and all cancers.

I liked the latest about the regenerated jaw using the patient's own stem cells which were grow for nine months in his fatty cells in his stomach. I have more than enough fat cells which I would appreciate transforming into something else and I've had nine month growths in the stomach twice and after 30plus years am happy with the results.

Imagine growing a jaw inside your stomach - just like growing a baby only without the morning sickness! That's a good reason for keeping your fatty cells around.
