Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,606 Likes: 2 | Kellie, It is exciting to hear some foods are already working! I could not eat mashed potatoes because they burned my throat. Same for yogurt. I could drink Dr Pepper (until my blood sugar hit 300  ) and eat spaghetti sauces. I thought it should be the exact opposite. By the way, I can't imagine even opening a can of Spaghetti-O's so your sister must be doing better.  Ed
