Also, I'm amazed & apalled with the nursing staff at my favorite little tortue chamber. Very mixed feelings, just in case I was vague at all. Damn glad to be home. Much bigger heart, half a tongue, 10 pounds lighter & TIRED!!! Blah, blah, blah!!! Glad to back on the boards. Welcome to any & all the newcomers. You'll find a lot of love & info here. Hello to all the regulars & I truly hope all is well or getting better!

Beleive me "It gets Better"!!!!! Now the healing begins. Are you able to eat or do you have a PEG tube? Take in plenty of nurishment as your body needs extra to heal. Any question's please post as someone seems to always have an answer. Input allot of H2o, Gatorade etc. Nice to hear you made it through the worst part.
Best Wishes, Dan

I know I need to eat 'cause I'm down to 200, I normally run about 220-225. Not feeling all that well physically. Mentally, ok

Dan had a PEG tube put in when he began chemo/rad about 8 weeks ago. He started using it totally about 5 weeks ago. He also had MUCH trouble with constipation and fullness...had to get more meds for that. Be sure & ask...they gave Dan Lactolose in a syrup for his tube. He also has Protonix for reflux that I crush up to put in his tube. Tomorrow is his last treatment...sure looking forward to the path of recovery...trying to take it one day at a time. Also, they finally prescribed Reglan for Dan to put in his PEG to help him with the full feeling. It gave him some diarrhea, but we used a little less and it did help him take in a bit more food thru the ole tube.
Take care and hang in there, Erik, I have added you to my daily prayers. May God give you strength as you heal.

Glad you are home. I know the first few days I was home I was so elated, when anyone asked how I was? I AM HOME! was the answer. If anyone called? I'M HOME!
Hang in there, Erik. You've made it through some awful stuff, celebrate that.
