It doesn't mention however, if it would detect tumors that haven't broke the surface of the skin. This sounds like a great tool - I'm going to ask my dentist at my appointment next week about it. He's the one who found my cancer in the first place.

It will be available for sale, having just received its FDA approval 10 days ago, by the end of June. It is NOT specific at this time for cancer, though it does find it very accurately along with a host of other disease states in cells. So while this finds things, it is the lack of specificity that is the issue. That does not make it a less valuable device, it means that once something is found there is an interpretation issue on the part of the clinician that has to take place.
