Well, i had modified radical done on both sides at once.........all the staples were out in about 10 days, drains were out before them........it wasn`t half as bad as radiation........i know thinking about it is overwhelming, but healing usually happens pretty quickly..........I came home with really no nursing care at all..........waiting for the surgery is the tough part........I know, I`m waiting for more reconstructive surgery on Monday!!!!!!!!!! smile

I just had one side done and was more than ready to come home on day two, although I had to stay so the graft could be checked hourly. When I did get home I felt terrific but looked a little weird because of the swelling. I did lateral massage on it and the results were fast and amazing. Don't sweat this one. It is a piece of cake compared to radiation and chemo. You will do fine and like the rest of us, wonder why you worried so much.

Hey Packer, Jay Leno's chin looks pretty darn good to me! Can't you look through a book and just pick a chin? All kidding aside,I'll be thinking of you on Monday. How long do you expect to be in the hospital? I know this is a pain in the hind end, but soon enough this will be over and then on to better things once again! Sending good thoughts your way! SIncerely, Donna
