I had my third treatment this afternoon, 27 to go. Tonight my face is quite red, swollen and sore. It's not going to be fun; in fact I suspect it will become really unpleasant before it's done. Thankfully though, I'm 3 treatments closer to having it over with. A good bit of the fear is diminished, perhaps replaced by resignation. I don't know for sure, but I think we'll get through it O.K. Much of the fear is the uncertainty, especially the ugly place of being between Dx and Tx, certainly the WORST time and now you are fighting the battle, have your tactics and strategies worked out. Yeah it's gonna suck but you can do this. Keep focused on your cancer free life beyond all of this.
