Most of what I read here is that the depression folks on this forum are experiencing is cancer related-i.e.- why me, will it come back, what do I have left to plan for? Guess what, my friends! "Stuff" can happen to all of us. In my case, a stroke[out of the blue, I was a healthy, not overweight, active 63 yr. old female } blinded me in one eye and rearranged my memory and thought processes in one morning. A zillion tests later and there is still no definitive diagnosis as to why it happened other that an out of sight bloodpressure that day. So now, 2 yrs. out I am on hundreds of $ of pills each mo. and looking forward to waking up each morning. But you can bet that hardly a day goes by that I don't wonder if it will happen again, mostly because I am caring for a 19 mo old 24-7 and my husband. I guess I am really lucky because my depression after the stroke was emotional and I had to get over it for my family's sake. I guess I'm just trying to say that we don't get to plan life- it just happens- and we get to deal with it- OCF helps us deal a little better. Amy
