Joe was sitting at the kitchen table last night playing a game of monolopy with my 6 year old daughter Samantha. They were having a ball, during the course of this game they started talking about fishing.Well Samantha said to him "Papa, when you get better are you going to help me catch a big fish?I didn't really hear his reply but he walked away from the table for a short time.I noticed that he had tears in his eyes.He came back a while later and told my husband and I that he had decided to go along with whatever the doctors felt he should do.We were amazed at the sudden turn around, but we left it at that. This morning when the children left for school I asked him what changed his mind.He said he couldn't bare the thought of not seeing his granddaughter's eyes when she caught her first fish!!So he wants to try to fight this. So,here I sat for days trying to get opinions and basically making myself sick with worry over everything and my beautiful little girl does it with one innocent question. I know he's going to be in for a fight but I think he has the will and determination to live now.Thank you all for your help again.I guess now we'll go on to the treatment phase, and I'm so glad he's doing it because he wants to,and it's his own choice. That's great news - I'll keep all of you in my prayers.
