Well, Guys, as of today, i guess i`m offically homeless, closed on my house here in Maine, the guy who literally dropped out of the sky three days after Frank died bought it. If Frank sent him, it figures, he`s so much like Frank when he was healthy, never stops moving or talking......and looks after me like a mother hen................so next Wed. my kids are packing me up and we`re heading to Alabama, my daughter is already planning a trip to New Orleans, concerts,Disneyworld.......Im moving into my dream house in Alabama, converted batchelor pad, even mirrors on the ceiling, but, it has my skylights in the master bedroom and a pond, 2 things I dreamed of in Maine, but Frank got sick and it never happened, My daughter wore one of frank`s shirts to look at the house,he`s behind it and with me.............so off we go to Alabama, but never fear, I`ll be using my daughter`s computer til I get situated................WOW, WHAT AN ADVENTURE........now if i can just motivate myself to start doing the ten million things I need to do around here.............spent all yesterday morning trying to find Frank`s will, which I may have thrown out, wasn`t thinking at the time, and since my daughter, bless her heart, packed Helter Skelter, finding anything is impossible, sure glad I remember who the lawyer was, and he has a copy, so that`s taken care of...............so, keeping my fingers crossed, I`ll be in the deep south next week, can`t wait to wear sandals without socks.............Hugs, Dee

Dee - I'm excited for you. Sounds like Frank had something to do with this. A new adventure and sandals without socks. Those of us in the great white north can really relate to that milestone every spring!

Hey Dee,
What part of Alabama? If things go well at Dan's next appointments, we should be seeing Birmingham, Alabama in June or July. Dan had accepted a transfer there and was supposed to start January 1st. Well, obviously that didn't happen, but his company has been great and still has the job waiting for him. I hear it's a neat place to live. I am a little fearful of moving away from his docs, but he will come back at least once a month for checkups. It's a new adventure for us also!
Take care and God Bless,
Debbie

Hi Dee,

There is a Bear Creek in Wisconsin to. It's a small village not far from my home. I wish you good luck in your new home. It's always neat to move to a new place. I hope you are happy. I can't wait to meet you at the reunion.

Dee,

I went to grade school in Montgomery during the Martin Luther King, Jr. days and the Selma march and all. I'm sure it's a bit different almost 50 years later! Enjoy your trip and settling in.

Debbie, my boys lived in Columbia from 1998 to 2001 for one and 1998-last August for the other. I already have something in common with both of you.

Hey Ed,
Yes, I love Columbia. We have lived here about 8 years now and everything you could want is within like 5 minutes!! But anxious for Alabama as that means Dan is getting better!
Thanks,
Deb

Dee,

Hi, I'm new to the board. I have read through some of your posts about Packer and it seems like he was really a fighter and that you loved him very deeply. You were certainly a loving caregiver. Just want to say good luck on your new journey. I hope that will turns up, sometimes the copies an attorney keeps are not signed, at least not an original signature. And the government's rules about how things are to be distributed are not always in line with what the loved one wanted. Maybe this is a good time for all of us to make sure we have all of those important papers in order and know where they are. Sounds like you are in for quite the adventure!! Best of luck in your new home. You go girl!!
