Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 794 | I just received some yellow "Live Strong" bracelets from the Lance Armstrong organization, ($1 each) and I also ordered the great FREE notebook from them. I like the bracelet.......it reminds me that I must continue to be determined to not let this illness take any more from me.......to keep doing what I love in spite of it. I plan to give the bracelets to my family members. If they don't choose to wear them, they can at least be reminded to pray for me and to take good care of themselves.

Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 6 | Peace - because so much information will be coming at you I found it very helpful to take a tape recorder to my father's consultations. Not once did a doctor say "no" when I asked if I could tape the conversation.
Father SCC Stage IV dx 04.06; tx started 6/06 (triple bypass surgery 4/06) IMRTx39 cisplatin & 5FU; recur dx 01/12; 01/18 told surgery not an option (2 ENT opinions); Erbitux started 01.22.07;dad passed 01.25.07.
