Congratulations on completing 35 radiation treatments to throat and both sides of neck today, Monday. Welcome to the cancer-free world of survivorship. You have done so well, from Helen, with love.

Thanks Helen :-)
Went away that Monday straight after treatment for a few days by the sea. The staff let me have my mask, and, it is strange looking at it now, realising what created its creation, what it felt like when it was first made, the first wearing, what I've been through, and what may lay ahead. But, think positive, and I hope I never have to wear it again!

Cheers!

Tizz

Excuse my ignorance, but what is a Chia pet? I thought I could loan it for a rock clip, or maybe I could pretend to be a backing singer on stage (can't sing very well through those holes :-)

Cheers!

Only in America right?

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Yeah Mark, only in America :-) Actually, the mask looks quite good with foil, as they left all of the strip markings on, with the measurements. Perhaps wheat grass would look better on top?

Cheers!

Congrats to all of us survivors....I have my mask too and have educated a lot of friends about why we wore it and how they made it and why...They gave me mine and said to make a "planter" out of it....5 years ago and counting...prayers for all...Flo
