Went away that Monday straight after treatment for a few days by the sea. The staff let me have my mask, and, it is strange looking at it now, realising what created its creation, what it felt like when it was first made, the first wearing, what I've been through, and what may lay ahead. But, think positive, and I hope I never have to wear it again!

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.

Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 316 | Yeah Mark, only in America :-) Actually, the mask looks quite good with foil, as they left all of the strip markings on, with the measurements. Perhaps wheat grass would look better on top?
