Hi Connie!
Being your husbands case is so complex, do you think your husband would agree to get a second opinion? When treatment options are so few, its important to get all the specialists you can to take a look at him. What further complicates the matter is this is a recurrence and its so soon after he just finished his other treatments. Recurrences can move very quickly so time is of the essence. If your husband will listen, try to ask if he would want to hear what another facility has to say. You never know there could be options that are just now coming out that we have not heard about yet. It certainly cant hurt to try a few phone calls that is if your husband wants to check out other options.
As you already know, OCF members are not medical professionals, that includes me too. Without a medical background, I do not know if what the specialists proposed will work for your husband or not. His case is complicated right from the start as its a recurrence and his attention to following doctors orders have not always been what they should be. I hope everything will turn out for the best for you and your husband. My fingers are crossed the treatment plan will eliminate all the cancer right away. Once he gets thru the proposed treatment plan, hopefully he will get started with his new job/career and love it. Basically Im wishing you both success with everything so you both will live happily ever after
