The surgery was more complicated than expected and long story short we learned the tumor was wrapped around a nerve in her tongue. She is on a feeding tube (Bolus) but her biggest issue/problem remains the thick mucus that she has to deal with constantly. We have tried many things per different drs (benadryl. mucinex, a prescription for G (can't remember the whole name) and she has a suction machine. But I'm wondering if anyone has found something better? My poor mom gets no sleep at night dealing with this.
I did a preliminary search on this forum and see others are dealing with it so I'm not sure if there is but I'd appreciate any advice etc.

He also had a hard time with mucous at back of his throat but it has slowly gotten better with time and using guafenesine at least twice a day. Hope that helps!
