Fell chocking feeling when going to sleep. also hurts to swallow. had lots of ear pains for past 3 years told its nothing! had lot of ear infections and small red spot and fluid remains. Small amount weight loss and night sweats and now enlarged group nodes top of leg with ultrasound. they feel tender too. Worried. Gp sjut said be nothing! My ear hurts if I press the node in neck which feels hard. One that specialises in head and neck cancers, not just ears and grommets for kids. This way you can get an appropriate check and hopefully reassurance. Good luck. Tammy
Caregiver/advocate to Husband Kris age 59@ diagnosis DX Dec '10 SCC BOT T4aN2bM0 HPV+ve.Cisplatin x3 35 IMRT. PET 6/11 clear. R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in. March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!

As Tammy suggested, get thyself to a head and neck oncologist ASAP.
You also need to have the enlarged nodes in your leg evaluated, as well!

37 y/o fem at Dx (23 wks preg @ dx on 3/16/11) SCC L oral tongue (no risk factors) L partial gloss/MND 3/28/11 @ 25 wks preg T1-2N0M0; no rads/chemo Tonsillectomy on 8/6/12 +SCC L tonsil T2-3N1M0 (HPV-) Treated with 35 rads/7 carbo & taxol (Rx ended 10/31/12), but many hospitalizations d/t complications from rx. Various scans since rx ended are NED! Part of genetic study for rare cancers @ MGH. 44 years old now...I wasn't sure I would make it! Hoping for 40 more!
