Joined: Oct 2014 Posts: 23 | My husband has 5 of his 30 radiation treatments done and he started feeling intermittent bouts of dizziness. It seems to come and go, but it's pretty severe. He is staying well hydrated. Any thoughts of other causes and or remedies.

10/1 Began 1st of 30 tomotherapy
11/14 end of radiation

Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 8 | Swelling from radiation can cause his equalibrium to be off. Could be his blood pressure being on the low side or any number of things. Make sure you let the doctor know about it tomorrow.
Every single day make sure he is taking in at the very least 2500 calories and 48-64 oz of water. This will help him to get thru it easier.

Joined: Oct 2014 Posts: 23 | Progress update....So we are more than 1/2 way through, still eating soft foods and soups and controlling pain well. I'm still worried about the decision to skip chemo but all the docs at Hopkins are very encouraged about my husbands progress. His case was evidently used by his Radiology Oncologist at a recent seminar. We are still cautiously optimistic that this whole thing will be behind us soon.

I'm glad its moving along good for your husband.
Stay strong and tell your husband it will be over before he knows it.
