I don't know if this is a long term effect of radiation. They say being nervous can be a cause. Has anyone heard of this. thanks, Michele

Anything related to the heart is fair game because of blood flow and the vagus nerve. I have not had a normal EKG since 4 years out in 2007.

It happens when the electrical stimulus to make the Atria -the upper chambers of the heart - beat , occurs early. They are of no significance. As we age most of us have these and also PVC's. Premature Ventricular Contractions are of more significance if we then have a run of them. By this I mean 6 or more PVC's together. Because if these PVC's continue our heart can go into a lethal arrhythmia. So please be reassured. PAC's are not harmful and most of us have these. Tammy

R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in. March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!
