So I started chewing nicotine gum after researching online that there is no conclusive evidence to support nicotine causes cancer per the medical journals I read. I've been chewing the gum for a while for two reasons 1) it cures the urges and 2) makes my mouth produce more salvia. Well my oncologist told me to stop chewing it and that it can cause cancer. My regular doctor said no it doesn't. What have you heard or what do you think?

If this were a coin toss -- nicotine does contribute to cancer or nicotine does not, which side do you pick?
Pretty simple -- How much do you want to gamble the rest of your life, especially someone as young as you my dear friend?
There is biotine gum that stimulates saliva and it does not have nicotine so safe to chew. :-)
