My doctor is finally convinced that I need a PET scan, but I can't have it for 5 more weeks because of my recent tonsillectomy. I have a question, my soft palate has this week developed about 8 little white sores from one side to the other. When I scraped the thick white stuff off it bled. Does this sound like soft palate cancer. They are not bunched together, just spread over the entire soft palate. I'm very concerned and will schedule a appointment with my doc, but it will take a couple weeks to get in. I have a picture if anyone needs to look who is familiar with soft palate cancer. So weird that it came up in one week. I'm still having the severe ear pain, tongue pain, and now added jaw pain along with other ear hurting now. Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 3,267 Likes: 4 | Maybe it's thrush or other type of bacterial, viral or fungal infection, I don't think you be able to scrape off cancer, but that doesn't mean there can't be a co-infection or diseases. Good luck.
