Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 711 | Linda had to have an emergency bowel resectio0n today. The surgery went well but in the process, found cancer on her ovary and intestine. She has already survived breast cancer and supported me thru my own battle. Won't know much more til next week. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
David R. 65 yr old male non-smoker, light drinker, stage 3 or 4, depending on which doc you ask, scc rt. tonsil, 2 nodes, 7 weeks radiation and chemo. No surgery. Teatment ended 3/20/08. PET scan 8/08 showed no cancer.
And now, as of oct, 2010, caregiver to wife, Linda, with breast cancer.
May, 2013, Linda diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Enuf already.

Hopefully, there will be others on the Forum with information on treating ovarian and intestinal cancers. I had a friend with intestinal cancer and he was treated with a special mixture of chemo that worked and last scan showed no cancer. I pray the same will be Linda's case. I believe chemo is also used for the ovarian cancer. God Bless both of you and all you've been through. She is lucky to have you, and you are lucky to have her. Hugs from julieann
Julieann Nov 2007 SCC on right tonsil following tonsillectomy. Was smoker, QUIT. (Stage IV T2 N2b) 7 weeks radiation one day/wk chemo (carboplatin and 5-FU). Allergic to Taxol; PEG in, lost 30 lbs.
