Thought I'd give an update. Most important, Vince got another set of CT results yesterday, still completely clear of cancer. The nodes lighting up with sarcoidosis seem to be improving as well. Port was removed the same day, that went well too.

On a side note, he started accupuncture, hopes of getting some dry mouth relief. He's only done one treatment, hasn't noticed a difference on dry mouth, but did say he felt very relaxed afterwards and, the spot that has been persistantly sore stopped hurting. Coincidence, who knows, just glad he feels better.

Lastly, we had some excitement in house. I woke up at 1:30 am the day we were headed to U of C for his results with a ton of chest pressure and nausea. Ended up in the ER, with a normal EKG. Rather than accompanying my husband for his results and port removal, spent the day having cardiac tests while trying to find him a ride home from a hospital that's 2 hours from home. How's this for divine intervention, a fellow oral cancer patient from our small village just happened to be at U of C the same day to see the rad onc, he stepped in helped get my slightly loopy husband home. It's amazing how God puts people in your life just when and where you need them. Talk about a crazy day...could we have one more moving part!?

Glad it all worked out. Sometimes a ray of sun streaking from a cloud filled day does wonders when it strikes you in the head.

Hi Ana, great news on Vince.
How about you. Did they do an Exercise Tolerance Test on you?
This is important if your ECGs and blood tests came back normal.
Take care,
Tammy

Thanks folks..:) Tammy, they did did do an exercise tolerance test as well....did a scan of some sort, did the stress test with contrast, then back for another scan. Also an echocardiogram. Thoroughly poked a prodded, still trying to get all of the sticky spots from the leads scrubbed off. Now here's the kicker, was sitting in a meeting on Tuesday, calendar reminder goes off on my phone, reminder for my mamogram. Literally had to go back 12 hours after getting discharged to the same hospital for mamo, which was normal, thank goodness. Would have skipped it, but I know better than to do than to let something like that slide. Done, done and done with docs and hospitals...until hubby's next round of scan/visit in June.
