Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | My oldest son and his gritlfriend were riding his Harley today and some lady ran a red light. He is in very critical condition with mulitple injuries. His grilfriend will be OK but he is in very serious condition with head and brian injuries olus others. I would like to request many prayers from my friends in OC as Jim really needs them. I just talked to the hospital and all she would tell me is that he is still grave. My other son, daughter, ex wife and jims daughter and her husband flew down to Tampa and just left the airport to go to the Hospital. Ryan just called me and will call me after they see the Medical staff. I hate it that I don't feel good enough to have flown down too. Plaese include Jim in your prayers. Love You all. For that girls sake, I hope she wasn't on a cell or texting. I am unforgiving with that type of person.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.
1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family

Ex-spouse MISDIAGNOSED with SCC-HN IVa 12/10. Tonsils out 1/11. 4 teeth out 2/11. TX Erbitux x2, IMRT x2 2/11. 2nd opinion-benign BCC-NOT CANCER 3/11. TX stopped 3/11. New doctors 4/11. ENT agrees with 2nd opinion 5/11. ENT scoped him-all clear 7/11. Ordered MRI anyway. MRI 8/22/11 Result-all clear.

My own son was just here yesterday on his motorcycle with his girlfriend and it hurts so much just thinking of what you and your family are going through right now.
