I don't know what is going to happen now. His tumor is at the base of his tongue, he will need surgery to have it removed, after that he will need radiation. The surgery was scheduled for 06/08 but we received a call from the doctor's office saying it had to be postponed to 06/15. In the meantime I can't do anything but worry and be scared. This is a nightmare.

I know what it's like. It feels like the doctors or you or someone needs to be doing something...anything in the meantime.
Unless you can actually get them to move up the surgery date, try to find ways to take your mind off of it. It is hard, but try to busy yourself and your dad with other things.
If at all possible, try to quiet your mind and accept the time frame (as long as your dad's doctors have assured you that it is acceptable to wait.) Sometimes, it's the only thing we can do when we can't control what's going on.
If you can get the worrying and fear under control, then you can spend time with your dad and really enjoy it before he has surgery and is launched into treatment.
Wishing you peace,
Sandy

When I was so worried about my son, I would try to do something physical. The exercise gets oxygen to the brain and helps to make you feel better. I'm sure your Dad is worried, too so if you do things with him to occupy the time it would help both of you. I took my son to see a really funny movie and hearing him laugh made me feel good, too. Find out what your Dad likes and suggest it. And take time for doing things that you like, too!
