I am home from the hospital...finally. I just have to have the staples removed from my surgery to remove the obstruction and resection my intestines.

Then I start my journey with my incurable colon and lung cancers. I wonder if there is a site similar to this devoted just to incurable cancers and what to expect. I have read some general articles, but from my experience on here I know that the people living with the diagnosis know better than anyone else how to deal with stuff. You guys sure helped me through my neck dissection and radiation and chemo. Now I need help dealing with this phase.

BOT-SCC Partial glossectomy 7/16/09.
Stage IV, Rt ND 10/2/09.
Teeth out 11/5/09.
Port/peg in, 11/20/09.
7 wks rad & chemo, end 1/22/10
lung, colon biopsies 1/9/11 - both cancer
colon resect surg 1/10/11
Folfox + Avastin - discontinued 6/11
lung surgery 3/13/12, 5/1/12
mets to liver and bones
passed away 9/4/13

Hi Bloop... so glad you are finally back home. I've hesitated to post regarding your recent diagnosis because I don't know what to say. Hopefully you can slow the progression and have the peace of mind needed to enjoy each day. You are loved here and by many others I'm sure. Will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Barbara:
I know you are happy to be home and also free from the obstruction, and hopefully that pain is gone. I just keep thinking another opinion on taking care of the lung and colon cancers should be checked. Have you thought of trying to get another opinion, maybe from M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital. Like Dodie said, you are loved by us and we all are praying for you.

Barb...do what you must to help deal with the time you have left my dear. We all pass on and none of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but that doesn't make it any easier dealing with the knowledge that our time is short.

I wish you peace so that you may enjoy whatever time you have. You are in my thoughts and prayers dear friend.

Love you,

Eric

Thanks for posting this for us. I have no words that are close to what I think but do have you in this guys prayers. Have you tried to type what you are looking in the internet search? That is how I found OCF in march of 2007. Get another opinion from a bigger Hospital. Please!!

Barbara,

I am happy to hear you are home. I wish I had something good to say but I don't. I do hope you find peace for the upcoming months. Have you looked into a 2nd opinion? It can't hurt if you're feeling up to it.
