CG to Father, 75 yo with SCC of the mouth; upper maxillectomy and neck diss. performed on 5/23/07. Father also suffered heart attack during surgery and now has CHF. RT complete on 8/28/07. Cancer back 11/27/07. RT and Chemo to start on 12/17. Cancer back 6/17/08. Finally at rest 08/08/08.

Who wouldn't be??? At least there's a schedule of tests/consults. Hey, I worried for 5 years about my dad--but he made 5 years! And as for myself, well, knowing what I'm dealing with, I just know and accept. Post all you want/need as it's so therapeutic--no-one can predict the future and outcomes, as all on here know, are different. In my thoughts Joy and keep us updated on how things go.

Brenda in UK--Diagnosis 30/5/07--undifferentiated carcinoma in right jawbone and muscles. Stage 4 6/7/07--new diagnosis primary is in lung. Finished 4cycles of palliative carboplatin/gemcitabine therapy September 07 Now dying to live!

Adele, mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the submandibular gland, 05/06, left neck dissection, gland and tumor removed, intermediate grade, margins negative, 9 lymph nodes negative, no rad, no chemo, 11/07 surgical biopsy of lymph node left neck, no cancer!
