Ok yall, I went to see the doc and the counselor today and it went well. Doc put me on Effexor which my wife was on awhile back and said it did wonders for her. I didnt really get too far with the counselor and she is on vacation next week so we will start meeting once a week in two weeks. I feel pretty good about today so yall please keep me in your prayers. Maybe, just maybe things will start to get better soon.

Thanks again for all of the kind words and for keeping me in your thoughts.

Billy

I take Efexor, 75mg Billy and it keeps me sane (well, as sane as I'll ever be!!)
Glad to hear you sounding a bit more cheerful and positive--give it 2 weeks for the meds to kick in, then it won't be long before the counselling starts.
Take care of yourself,

Brenda

I actually had a conversation with a gentleman tonight that was on Effexor and he told me it was the best med they had ever put him on.

Billy, you are a wonderful person and you will get through this--- patience is not the virture we want but it is want we need. Depression can be scary and I am so glad you seeked help. that says alot about you. we are praying for you. I know you have a lot of faith grab onto it and let it pull you through the tough times.I don't think life will aver be as it was, How can it be? you have been through so much (like hell and back) so you will be different but remember the blessings in your life. Some days we have to look hard because we say- is this it! But remember you are not alone. There are alot of us on the forums that care and they will be there for you. I am typing this with tears in my eyes because I know your frustration as I see it in my own husbands eyes. Hang in there -tomorrow is a new day. Prayers and good thoughts. LJ

Hey Billy....add me to the list of those who have been helped by Effexor...won't be long 'til you begin to see a remarkable improvement!
