Maybe its my type of tube. Call the gastro doc right away if the peg tube leaks, he will need a new one. Ive tried crazy glue, medical tape and tegaderm to seal a leak without success.
I have a J/G tube and get mine replaced about every 3 months. Its very minor surgery done as an out patient. It is a quick procedure where I go in and 15 mintues later Im walking out with a brand new tube. My tube isnt a regular peg tube, mine goes into both the stomach and also the large intestine, there are a couple internal stitches to hold it in place. We had to go to the General surgeon to have end replaced - he just snipped the old one off and screwed a new one on. Crazy that we can't do ourselves but after getting charged crazy amount for this simple procedure we have resorted to using tape over the end to keep the cap on.

The tip just screws on and off so it is easily replaced if only i can find a replacement. i think i found something similiar to what he has over the internet. i will see when it's shipped. Till then it is the trusty old tape. Thanks for all your help. Liz
