| Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 12 Member | OP Member Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 12 | Hi- I jusy had a laser removal of a big granuloma (size of a candy corn) on the floor margin of where I had a hemiglossectomy with forearm flap reconstruction in 2004 at UCLA by Dr Keith Blackwell (skilled is an understatement) . Just an FYI apparently granulomas can be common from residual sutures. Now living in NY, I had it done at Sloan Kettering in NYC as I ascribe to "the best" in medical care and " you only have one chance for a succesful first surgery." SCC L oral tongue T1N0M0 no chem no rad. Partial mandibulectomy and neck dissection 2/3/07. T2NOMO. Had 14 hour operation which included reconstruction of jaw. Reconstruction failed. Some radiation, no chemo. | | |
