Hello,

My brother's oral cancer recurred. The MRI has shown that the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes (both sides), and there is a tumor on a neck vertebrae. He underwent 5 days of radiation for the tumor and will start chemo tomorrow. His doctor has also put him on Xeloda. In researching this medication, I only find references for colon and breast cancer. Is this a common medication that has been used for head and neck cancer?

Thank you for any information.

Check under Capecitabine (generic for Xeloda). I think it is a Chemo used for advanced Head and Neck cancer (often combined with carboplatin).
