Has anybody else had to wait that long and then been diagnosed with tongue cancer.I don't know if its a good thing because he musn't think it's too serious or would have done it straight away or a bad thing if it is cancer and it's more advanced. Just wondered what everybodys thoughts are? Thanks, David.

I spoke to the consultants secretary who was lovely so I think I'm just going to have to wait and try and be patient.I see my gp this week so might mention it to him to see if he can speed things up a bit. Thanks for the message, Best Wishes, David.

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

I don't mind waiting for my biopsy I'm just worried that if it is cancerous it will get worse??? The consultant did say he didn't think it was. I know a scan can't diagnose if it is but can they get an "indication that it might not be?? I do feel like I'm in good hands with the consultant that I'm seeing and am attending Christies Hospital in Manchester. One of my friends is a pathologist and he said if he had been worried he would have had you in straight away...no questions asked so thats reassured me a bit!!
