History Leukoplakia bx 8/2006 SCC floor mouth T3N0M0- Verrucous Carcinoma.
14 hour 0p SCC-Right ND/excision/marginal mandibulectomy 9/2006, 4 teeth removed, flap from wrist, trach-ng 6 days- no chemo/rad.
6 ops and debulking (flap/tongue join) + bx's 2006-2012.
bx Jan 2012 Hyperkeratosis-Epithelial Dysplasia
24cm GIST tumour removed 8/2013. Indefinite Oral Chemo.

1/31/16 passed away peacefully surrounded by family

Hope all is going ok Jim. I know there's nothing worse than waiting for results. Steve's PET scan results took a week to come in. Certainly raised my bp alot. Stay positive Jim and I'll be thinking of you.

25/11/2009 PET-lymph node activity.
08/01/2010 CT Scan-ALL CLEAR
03/03/2010-Peg removed
01/2013 left side of Jaw removed and replaced with pectoral flap.
23/12/2020 scan show lesion in tongue
01/2021 SCC stage 3 base of tongue diagnosed
01/03/2021 chemotherapy started.

It's good to hear from you even if you have no news yet. Waiting is always the hardest part. Try not to let it get to you although I know it's probably all you can think of... or it would be for me, to be honest. Hope they call you this afternoon to tell you it is all set! Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers...

Nancy, they did call this afternoon and now he wants my daughter to call him Monday from work. The big holdup was one of them worrying that I might have metal in my arteriers from the aneurysm. Geez, I have had at least 3 MRI since then. LOL Biut he wanted the proof from the other Hospitals.


Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.

Sigh ... wait and wait and wait some more. It drives me nuts. I'm rooting for you, Jim - you are like the Energizer Bunny - or an ornery coot - & I mean that in the nicest way:o)

Marginal mandibulectomy 6/17/08 resulted in DX of Stage I SCC - gingiva (3 mm) right mandible, buccal side. Clear margins. Occasional social drinker. Smoked last cigarette in 1979. Clear pet: 12/08; 7/20/09. Yay!

Man...couldn't they have you told you that earlier? Don't these docs understand that waiting really hard?!? Jim...you are a strong man as we all know...hope you can relax this weekend and get things moving on Monday...

So sorry to see you have to go through more stuff. It's good to see
how positive you are, you are a strong man!

Sometimes they are too careful and the rest not careful enough!!!!!! I hope you get your heart in check, I sure can
see how it would be stressed out!

Partial mandibulectomy and neck dissection 2/3/07. T2NOMO.
Had 14 hour operation which included reconstruction of jaw.
Reconstruction failed. Some radiation, no chemo.

Wow, what an unnecessary hassle you have to endure. I hope this all gets straightened out Monday. I don't think the doctors truly understand whom they are messing with when they mess with you. Keep the faith brother
