Eileen,

Very good point. I almost donated directly through the link in the email. Glad I came here first to make sure this was still on. I would have donated before 3 PM!

I also wish they would have known they were going to do this when I posted about donating a few weeks ago. This thread was started 10/14. I donated $50 here and $24 to Megan's Birthday wish on Facebook on 10/13! Not sure how much more I can give right now, but will at least do the $10.

I am having trouble. My work computer blocks the site. I will have to wait until I get home tonight and use my home computer. Darn! I wanted to donate 2x!

OCF Giving challenge

Just made my donation. Please click on the link above, it is the one Megan provided and it already lines up OCF as your donation. Hit either Facebook or non facebook, it takes you to a screen to select your donation amount and tip (if any), then you fill out your credit card info, give it an email address for a receipt and you have helped OCF maybe win a thousand dollars
Only less than 23 hours now, Please click and donate any time TODAY - If you are a morning person, don't worry, you can donate up to 2:59 PM tomorrow, election day. It's like getting a matching donation so let's all try and win one here just like we did on the greatest charity review contest.
We can do this
charm
PS. Just got my email receipt while i was typing this

Mike,
I've got the same problem. Office computer blocks the site. Will try from home tonight.

Come on folks. We are already two and half hours into this and only a few people have donated so far. Can't you at least spare $10?

Take care,
Eileen

I clicked Charms link, then click on OCF.
I didn't see anything about a tip, but ended up (expectantly) in the OCF Store so I filled out a order/donation form.

Then, I got this back in an e-mail from OCF... DID IT WORK??

....Order Details:

Code Item Qty Price Total
donation-1 OCF donation
1 $10.00 $10.00

Sub Total: $10.00
Tax: $0.00
Shipping: $0.00
Grand Total: $10.00

We have received the donation / order which you have placed with the Oral Cancer Foundation, and we would like to thank you for your order or contribution. If you have made a donation to OCF, supporter materials, such as OCF window stickers, lapel pins etc., will be sent to you in the next 7 days. We hope that you will display them proudly. Each product order or donation made through the foundation's web store helps us in our battle against this disease. Thank you for your support.

Don
I think you donated to OCF but DID NOT enter this contest
I just realized in reading these posts that the OCF forum automatically puts the word donation into a red link Directly to OCF. To enter the giving challenge today , you need to use the first blue link: OCF Giving challenge link not the donation in red links. The good news is that the donation red link does indeed go directly to OCF as Megan pointed out and your email confirms, but it does not count in this contest, only clicks through the contest link. So again folks, click on the giving challenge link tonight and tomorrow for this contest. You will go to a page that has a tip feature and you will get an email from [email protected]"that reads like this:
Dear xxxx,

On behalf of your favorite charities and Causes, we thank you for your generous support!

Your donation is being made to Network for Good, a nonprofit, donor advised fund, which processes donations made through Causes and distributes them to your chosen charity. Your credit card will therefore list CAUSES NETWK FOR GOOD (or simply, "Network for Good"), not the names of the charities receiving the funds. All donations are final and may not be refunded. Details of your donation are listed in the donation Record below.

Thank you again for visiting Causes!
--------------------------------------------------------------
-----
donation RECORD

Your contribution is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You may save or print this receipt for your records and the information will be conveniently stored in your donation history for you to access at any time. This email certifies that you have made this donation as a charitable contribution and you are not receiving any goods or services in return. This receipt may be useful to you when completing your tax return.
then all your credit card info and address and then
