I'm confused, are they waiting for it to get bigger?? How do they expect to find out what it is? Has a scan been done?

Dr. said to have an FNA done at Emory if it didn't go down in a month or so. In the meantime, I had an ulcer on my tongue (see previous post) and a subsequent bx of that in early Jan., which was benign but right after that another little lymph node popped up. So I had US guided FNA on the larger original lymph node, but they too said the small one was too small to do an FNA or biopsy, and the thought was it was a result of the ulcer/bx. Both my ENT here in Atlanta, the Emory drs and 2 drs at MDA agreed it was nothing to be concerned about....
Do I still feel it and worry sometimes? Of course... but that's the nature of this beast, I guess... so I understand how you are feeling...

I have a swollen node on the same side, just under the surgery site. It has been there for a long time. After two follow up visits with my Mayo Doc, he says not to worry. He thinks it is just the result of all the trauma from surgery, etc. He didn't feel like a biopsy was necessary either. I do trust the doc, but it makes me nervous as heck if you want to know the truth.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone in this one.
Take care,
