My FIL in India is having post treatment dry mouth and we have decided to send him s hydration pack. I was wondering if anyone can recomment a good brand that doesn't have any parts that can rust? The water is VERY different in India from most western countries and corrodes things made of metal very quickly.
Also, if you know of any parts that need to be replaced periodically, can you tell me what those are so I don't have to ship them seperately down the road?
Thanks in advance!
FIL completed treatment 10/08. CG to father in Law in india who had SCC oral tongue T2N2M0. FIL underwent surgery, neck dissection, IMRT, and erbitux without losing weight or getting nauseated. Completed October 2008. SO far so good.

It doesn't have any metal parts, but you might want to send some extra bite valves. You can check their site and find a retailer in your area: www.outdoorproducts.com . The company has been around for a long time. Mine is 1.5L pack and for me that is adequate, light, good for biking and hiking but doesn't hold much extra gear, so you might play it safe and go for a 2L. Also, some of guys I hike with recently bought similar looking packs at Wal-Mart for only about $18 and they seem fine.
