Your right about the rehabs and hospitals, Believe me if I don't see some improvement with his lungs and nutrition I've told them I want him moved to Mass General in Boston. The reason he is in rehab is to work on his strength and nutrition, and the fluid in his lungs they now believe is from his aspirating all the secrtions, they will work with a pulminary dr for the lungs, they have him on a directics which is difficult because they don't want to dry him out to much from all his nutrients. There was one dr we met today at rehab that said there has been a recent study of the fentynal patch causing decreased respiratory problems he may try a drug that is meant just for nerve pain, since that is where all the pain is right now and they can't see any cancer but think it may be nerve pain from the radiation, I'm really beginning to think the hyperbaric was way to much for him.
I'll keep you posted
